Macquarie offers Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) for which the Australian Government makes a financial contribution towards the costs of a program of study.
If you are enrolled in a unit of study as a Commonwealth supported student, you will generally be required to contribute to the cost of your education through a student contribution. Macquarie sets the student contribution amount you are required to pay. The amount depends on your course of study.

From 1 January 2009 the Government has abolished tuition fee places for higher education undergraduate students, with only CSP places available for new students.

International students are not eligible for a CSP place (unless you are an Australian citizen). The Macquarie University International Student Fees Policy sets out the guidelines for how much you will pay for particular courses, and for additional costs which you may have to pay.
