Study Options

There are various study options offered by Macquarie University to suit the many needs and commitments of students. Not all options are offered for all courses, so you will need to investigate the choices provided for the course that interests you.

The majority of students at Macquarie choose to study full-time, with a full load of courses every semester and attending the classes of on-campus units every semester. But you might choose not to study in this way.

Part-time attendance, distance education, evening classes and multi-modal study are some of the alternative study decisions that may be open to you and you can learn more about them in this section.

Sometimes other commitments mean that mid-year entry to study is a good option.  This section gives you some information and links that will allow you to further explore this alternative.

Other study options that you may need to consider are bridging courses and and non award study. While these may not provide credit towards your award, they are options that need to be explored if your pre-requisites are inadequate or if you require additional skills to ensure success.
